Gor Mahia’s Bold Leap: Streamlining for a Brighter Future!
The roar of the Mashemeji Derby still echoes, but for Gor Mahia, the focus has swiftly shifted from the pitch to the operational blueprint. Following the recent clash at Raila Odinga Stadium in Homa Bay, our beloved K’Ogalo is not just reflecting on a historic match, but actively implementing crucial reforms to enhance the fan experience and strengthen the club’s foundations.
First, a massive shout-out to the Green Army! Your peaceful conduct and electric energy at the Derby were truly commendable, creating an atmosphere that perfectly befitted such a monumental occasion. The club extends its heartfelt gratitude for your unwavering support.
However, we all felt the pinch of the gate confusion. Gor Mahia has openly acknowledged the logistical hiccups and extended a sincere apology for any inconvenience caused. But more importantly, they’re not just apologizing – they’re acting!
Gor Mahia’s Bold Leap :A New Era for Matchday Operations
Gone are the days of internal personnel at the gates. In a decisive move to restore professionalism and eliminate potential conflicts of interest, Gor Mahia has announced that stewards, branch representatives, and the club’s in-house security teams will no longer be deployed at entry points during home matches. This is a significant shift, and for our upcoming final home fixture against Police FC, independent security personnel will be contracted. This promises smoother entry and a more streamlined experience for all.
Gor Mahia’s Bold Leap :Reinvigorating Branches
The club is also calling for a renewed sense of accountability and alignment within its vast network of branches across the country. This isn’t just about rules; it’s about building a stronger, more unified K’Ogalo, in other words Gor Mahia’s Bold Leap.
Here’s what our branches need to know:
- Affiliation Fee: A KSh. 20,000 affiliation fee is now required. This helps to ensure commitment and contribute to the club’s overall development.
- Internal Elections: Branches must hold internal elections within 60 days. This democratic approach ensures fresh leadership and greater representation.
- Membership & Stewards: To be eligible, a branch needs at least 50 active, registered members. Furthermore, each branch must nominate two stewards, both holding a valid certificate of good conduct. These nominated stewards will then facilitate the branch elections, with their primary role being “purely field control” going forward.
The Future is Digital: E-Ticketing is King!
Gor Mahia is firmly committed to modernizing access to matches. E-ticketing is now the only means of entry for home games. This means no more queues, no more fumbling for cash, and a significantly reduced risk of counterfeit tickets. Fans are strongly urged to purchase their tickets early using the official link provided by the club. A clear warning has also been issued against paying money to unauthorized individuals – stick to the official channels to avoid disappointment!
And here’s the kicker, a testament to the club’s commitment to fairness and transparency: there will be no exemptions from this e-ticketing policy. That’s right, even club officials will be purchasing their tickets to gain access to home matches. This move underscores a level playing field for everyone and reinforces the integrity of the new system.
These are not just changes; they are Gor Mahia’s Bold Leap, a deliberate step towards a more professional, efficient, and fan-centric Gor Mahia. It’s a bold leap, one that promises a brighter future for our club, both on and off the pitch. Let’s embrace Gor Mahia’s Bold Leap and support the club’s vision, and continue to be the best fans in the world! K’Ogalo!
